🖐️ GRIPS
Goat Grip
Comfort, maximum grip and durability.
Provides a secure hold and optimal performance over time.
May feel a little hard at first and is heavier than EPDM.
The combination of silicone and Goat Grip is a real success: the contrast between the bright, intense colors and the deep black of the grip gives it real character.
EPDM
The ideal grip for staffs.
High-quality rubber coating, known for its grip and comfort.
Soft texture that slightly absorbs shocks.
Softer than Goat Grip, and also lighter (so a lighter staff).
Be careful to avoid gravel and long nails.
🔥 MATERIALS
A standard aluminum tube is ideal if you take care of your staff — it can really last for years
Why choose 7075 aluminum for your juggling gear?
7075 aluminum, used in aerospace and performance sports, is a premium alloy with valuable advantages:
Ultra strong: better withstands impacts and mechanical stress.
Light and easy to handle: sturdy yet comfortable in the hand, perfect for smooth control.
Durable: less risk of bending or warping, even with intensive use.🦾
🔧TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Once taken apart, a 150 cm staff becomes two 75 cm pieces (ideal for fitting in a backpack 🎒).
Tube diameter: 2 cm.
For classic heads, I use 50 cm of Kevlar on each end. The double Kevlar option is now available with 100 cm of Kevlar on each end 🔥.
Playjuggling Kevlar, made in Italy 🇮🇹.
Both ends of the tube are filled with 10 cm wooden plugs (for better screw hold) 🔩.
Silicone flowers to slow down and improve contact moves 🪄.
Tube covered in black silicone, which keeps the tube from heating up and reduces the risk of burns.
Large stainless steel thread, super strong (no wobble at all 🙏🔩), fixed through and through 🛠️.
Adya and Shanti braids carefully designed for juggling comfort and big, long-lasting flames. 🧬
⚠️ IMPORTANT CARE TIP ⚠️:
Extend the life of your braided heads
NEVER PUT THEM OUT ON THE GROUND🧯:
Never let your poi go out lying on the ground. The heat trapped between the ground and the head burns the fibers instantly. Always put them out while moving or with a damp cloth.
PUT THEM OUT BEFORE THE END:
Don't wait for the flame to die on its own. Put them out to protect the Kevlar.
NO DRY IMPACTS🥊:
Avoid hitting your wicks against the ground or walls when they're not soaked, it breaks the fibers.
My tip:
- Step 1: Put a thick sock around the head.
- Step 2: Then cut out cardboard and tape it around the sock.
- Step 3: Fold the edges of the sock over the cardboard and tape it all up🧃🧦.
All staffs fitted with Adya and Shanti braids must be put out while moving, or raised, so the wicks don't touch the ground (letting a braid burn on the ground can seriously damage the rope).
CHOOSING YOUR SIZE📏:
It's very important to choose the right options for your staff.
Here's my advice:
- The Shanti and Adya XL braids are the heaviest, so a fixed 7075 aluminum tube is ideal for lightness and strength.
- There's also no need for flowers with XL braids, since the braid's weight and balance already slow the staff's rotation (flowers would add even more weight).
- I RECOMMEND THE FIXED 7075 TUBE BECAUSE IT'S INDESTRUCTIBLE. MAXIMUM STRENGTH AND ELASTICITY.
Here's a short list of light and heavy options:
LIGHT 🪽:
- EPDM
- Fixed 7075 aluminum tube
- Classic head and size M braid
- No flowers
A 150 cm staff in 7075 aluminum with a fixed tube, EPDM and classic heads weighs 0.780 kg.
A 150 cm staff in 7075 aluminum with a fixed tube, EPDM and Shanti XL heads weighs 0.990 kg.
HEAVY🗿:
- Goat grip
- Take-apart tube
- XL braid
- With flowers
A take-apart 150 cm staff in 7075 aluminum with Goat grip and Shanti XL heads weighs 1.100 kg, and 0.980 kg with Shanti M.

TIPS & SAFETY
🔥 Before lighting up
- Master juggling without fire before moving on to fire.
- Practice sober, focused and prepared.
- Wear 100% cotton or wool clothing, tie back long hair and remove jewelry.
- Keep a damp towel or fire blanket within reach.
🌬️ During practice
- Practice outdoors, in a clear, non-flammable space.
- Keep a safe distance and stay aware of the people around you.
- Avoid strong wind.
- Put out your wicks before they are completely dry.
🛢️ Fuel
- Use only suitable fuel: dearomatized kerosene or liquid paraffin. Never gasoline or alcohol.
- Spin off excess fuel before lighting and close the container after use.
- Store fuel away from the audience.
- Never soak the Technora rope or silicone parts.
🛠️ Care
- Golden rule: never let wicks go out against the ground, especially braided ones. It seriously damages the Kevlar.
- Juggle on grass rather than asphalt whenever possible.
- Screwed-in wick worn out (after 1 to 2 years depending on use)? Unscrew it, turn it over and screw it back in: it's good for several more months.
- Clean your grip from time to time with a damp sponge and a cloth.
- Let props cool down before storing them and check your equipment regularly.
⚠️ Responsibility: fire juggling is a high-risk activity. Each user is fully responsible for their own practice and safety.
